Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! The Township of Adjala-Tosorontio is pleased to play a small part in your big day!

Couples wishing to get married in Ontario require a valid Ontario Marriage Licence. A Marriage Licence is valid for three months (90 days) from the date of issue.

How Do I Get A Marriage Licence?

Step 1: Application

  • Online - Applications can be made through our online application form.
  • In-Person - Applications can be made in-person at our office. Please note for in-person applications, you will be required to wait for the licence to be processed, or return another time.

Step 2: Verify Identification Documents

  • Once the application has been received by our Clerk's Department, an appointment is required to review your application and your identification documents. Our staff will contact you to schedule the appointment.
  • We encourage both applicants to be present during the verification appointment, however we understand this is not always possible. In the case where only one applicant is able to attend they must bring the identification documents of their partner.
