Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio
passed By-law No. 2025-044 on August 13th, 2025 under section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O.1990, Chapter P.13, as amended.
And take notice the applicant, the Minister, or a specified person or public body that has an interest in the matter may, within 20 days of the passing of the By-law, appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) by filing a notice of appeal with the Clerk via the Ontario Land Tribunal e-file service (first-time users will need to register for a My Ontario Account) at https://olt.gov.on.ca/e-file-service by selecting Adjala-Tosorontio (Township) as the Approval Authority, no later than September 9th , 2025 at 4:30 p.m. The filing of an appeal after 4:30 p.m., in person or electronically, will be deemed to have been received the next business day. If the e-file portal is unavailable, you may submit your appeal to Clerks department
The OLT appeal fee is $1,100 (standard) or $400 for eligible individuals, registered charities, or non-profit ratepayers’ associations. Appeal forms and information on fee reduction eligibility are available on the OLT website at www.olt.gov.on.ca.
A notice of appeal must set out the specific objections to the By-law and the reasons in support of the appeal.
When no appeal is lodged within 20 days after the giving of notice, the By-law will be deemed to have been passed and will come into full force and effect.
Purpose and Effect
The purpose and effect of this By-law is to amend the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio Zoning By-law No. 03-57 by introducing site-specific provisions for the lands zoned Hamlet Residential (HR1-39). The amendment permits one (1) Additional Residential Unit (ARU) on the subject property, with a maximum gross floor area of 92.2 square metres, notwithstanding the general provisions of the Hamlet Residential (HR1) Zone. All other provisions of the HR1 Zone will continue to apply. The following information is attached with this notice:
