STRADA AGGREGATES SUBMITS QUARRY APPLICATION FOR ARA APPROVAL

July 11, 2025 – The Township of Melancthon has been notified that Strada Aggregates Inc. has submitted an application to the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) under the Aggregate Resources Act (ARA) for a quarry operation within its existing 360-acre sand and gravel pit.

As part of the application process, Strada Aggregates has submitted a series of Technical Studies and Site Plans to support their proposal.  A number of studies submitted by Strada are already posted on the Township’s website.  Any new documents or information will also be made available on the Township’s website once they have been received. https://melancthontownship.ca/planning/strada-aggregates-opa-zba/

The public will have an opportunity to review the application materials and provide comments to the MNR during the 60-day consultation period required under the Aggregate Resources Act.
