In June of this year, the County of Simcoe held a Statutory Public Open House and Statutory Public Meeting regarding a proposed first phase growth management amendment to the County of Simcoe Official Plan as a result of the County's Municipal Comprehensive Review (MCR) exercise under Section 26 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended.

Please be advised that a Staff Report CCW 2022-235 has now been prepared recommending adoption of the proposed County of Simcoe Official Plan Amendment No. 7 (Municipal Comprehensive Review, Phase 1 Growth Management).  Staff Report CCW 2022-235 is identified as Item 19.1 on the August 9^th, 2022 Joint Council and Committee of the Whole Agenda, accessible here.  The Report includes a summary of the comments received and subsequent adjustments to the OPA (where applicable), along with the proposed Phase 1 Growth Management OPA (Schedule 4 to CCW 2022-235) recommended for adoption.

The public are welcome to watch the August 9, 2022 Joint Council and Committee of the Whole Meeting on the County of Simcoe's YouTube channel.

County Council will consider adoption of the proposed County of Simcoe Official Plan Amendment No. 7 at this meeting. If adopted by County Council on August 9^th, 2022, the proposed amendment will be sent to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for approval consideration since the Ministry is the approval authority for all County Official Plan Amendments.
