Farmers Market Pilot Project
We are excited to announce that the Adjala-Tosorontio Farmers Market is gearing up for it's first year!
We envision the market to be a vibrant, flourishing environment where local premium quality produce and products are available to you directly from the farmer/grower/maker.
You can't get fresher than that!
This pilot project will run from July to September on the following Friday afternoons:
from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m:
July 10th and 24th, 2020
August 7th and 21st, 2020
September 11th and 25th, 2020
The Market will be held at the upper parking lot of the Adjala-Tosorontio Municipal Grounds at 7855 Sideroad 30 (at Hwy 50, just south of Hwy 89).
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are closely monitoring the Ontario Ministry of Health's guidelines and will strictly adhere to all requirements necessary to connect our vendors with our customers in the safest way possible.
As a result of new government legislation stipulating Farmers Markets are only allowed to sell food for human consumption for the time being, we have had to turn away a number of vendors from our Market. We are hoping this will change before long, but in the meantime it has left us with some more space available for food vendors.
Listed below are the current vendors that are participating in our market.
Check back often for updates and new vendor additions!
Caledon Mushrooms - a variety of locally grown mushrooms, teas and herbs,
Guilt-Free Cupcakes - gluten free and sugar free baking,
Laurenwood Farm - organically grown vegetables and fruits,
Mulmur-Tos Honey - local honey, maple syrup and more,
So Jam Good – jam, jelly and marmalade,
Taste of Home - home-made baked goods, pickles, fresh juice, etc.,
Uncle Jorge's – locally grown vegetables, vegetable starts and cinnamon buns,
And a variety of Food Trucks.
Please come out and enjoy the fresh bounty the local farmers/growers/makers have to offer.
They appreciate your support!
We look forward to seeing you there!
