FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Township of Adjala-Tosorontio declares COVID-19 Emergency
Today, March 19, 2020, at 2:15 p.m., Township of Adjala-Tosorontio Mayor Floyd Pinto declared an emergency in accordance with the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act as a result of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak in Ontario. The declaration is a precaution being taken by the Township in order to access additional resources and funding to help control the spread of the virus.
Mayor Floyd Pinto stated “I ask all residents not to panic during these hard times, the Government has announced that there is ample supply of groceries and prices will be maintained. We will get through this not by panicking but by working together and helping each other. It is everyone’s responsibility to come together and do the right thing at this time.”
The Township supports the Ontario Public Health recommendations and recommends that residents take the recommendations seriously to reduce the risks and spread of COVID-19.
The Township of Adjala-Tosorontio acknowledges that this is a fluid situation and is continuously monitoring the situation. During this time, the Township Staff will continue to be available to residents by phone and email. The Municipal Office will remain closed to the public.

TAKE NOTICE that the first installment of the 2017 Final Tax Bill for the Residential, Farm and Managed Forest property classes is due on Monday July 31st, 2017. Properties with Commercial and Industrial assessment will receive their Final Tax Bill at a later date. Payment must be received by the due date. Penalty charges are levied at a rate of 1.25% on the first day of default and on the first day of each month thereafter. Failure to receive a tax bill does not excuse a taxpayer from responsibility for payment nor relieve the taxpayer from liability to pay penalties and interest. Concession Road 4 from County Rd 1 to 10 Sideroad has been reduced to one lane due to flooding,
Concession Road 4 from 10 Sideroad to 5 Sideroad has been closed due to a washout. Avoid areas if possible.
