This page is provided to keep our Residents with up to date information on the COVID-19 situation.
At this time, the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio is meeting to monitor, discuss and address local
concerns in response to COVID-19. The Township is taking precautions based on
recommendations from other levels of government and health authorities.
The Township of Adjala-Tosorontio is committed to ensuring the safety of our staff, residents,
Council, and volunteers as well as reducing the spread of illness.

In response to the need for the town to take action to slow the spread of COVID-19:
The following is the list of essential and critical services currently being provided by the town.

Building Permit Applications

Applicants will be contacted regarding total permit
fees. Payment is to be made by cheque in dropbox at municipal office.
Arrangements will then be made for pick up of issued permit.
Building Permit Inspections

Only exterior structures and non-occupied
dwellings can be inspected at this time. No final or interior renovation
inspections in occupied dwellings.

|Phone to arrange / Email||Residents can phone/email with regards to zoning and property information. The zoning information shared through email will not qualify as a Zoning Compliance Certificate.|
|Zoning Compliance Letters||Dropbox / Email||Fees can be found on our website under By-law #20-07. Payment must be submitted by cheque.|
Property Tax Payment

(2) Owner to set-up as Payee through their banking institution, using their full 19-digit roll number as the account number (no spaces or dashes)
*Please provide a copy of your tax bill along with your cheque(s). We will stamp and send a receipt back to you.

Dog Tag Payment

|Council Meetings||||April 8, 2020 Regular Council meeting is post-poned until April 15, 2020.|

|Freedom of Information||Dropbox||Cheques only. Applicants will be contacted with any questions or comments after initial review.|
|Burn Permits||||Existing permits suspended. Burn ban in place until further notice.|
|Fire Halls||Closed to the Public||Fire Services will remain functional; however, access will not be permitted to members of the public.|
|Fire Fighter Training||||Cancelled until further notice.|
|Pub Ed Visits||||Cancelled until further notice.|
|Public Works||Closed to the Public||Public Works services will remain functional; however, access will not be permitted to members of the public (this includes parks, playgrounds, walking trails, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, gazebo, and North and South Public Works yards).|

NOTE: The secure dropbox is located at the front door of the Municipal Office on the left side of the main doors.

SECOND PHASE COVID-19 INDUSTRY SURVEY NOW OPEN
In cooperaton with partners, members, stakeholders, and the office of Minister Lisa MacLeod, the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) has released an updated COVID-19 industry survey.
The updated survey marks a shift in focus measuring the broad impact of COVID-19 on the industry to measuring the specific economic impact of the disruption on the ground, to help shape an economic recovery package.
The survey asks about cancellations, lay-offs and temporary or permanent closures caused by COVID-19.
Please take a moment to complete the survey and get the word out any way that you can - email it ot your members, share it on your social media channels, with other business owners, and any other ways that think will help drive traffic to the survey.
The survey will close on Monday, March 23rd, 2020. When sharing, please display this deadline prominently.

COUNTY OF SIMCOE COVID-19 BUSINESS RESOURCE UPDATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SEEKING ITEMS FOOD SERVICES/SUPPLIES
